Iphone 4 facetime won't work on Chatr?!?!?!?! anyone got lucky???

no matter how i tried, the facetime just won't work when i am using the Chatr sim(i cut it into micro sim my self). anyone having the same problem? anyone can please help?

I have trid the same iphone 4 with Rogers and Telus sim cards, they both work fine and facetime were working. But when i put the Chatr sim back, BANG! no luck!

Iphone's facetime technology works on WiFi not network Dependant.

Chatr uses Roger's 2G network, and I'm sure Facetime would need the faster 3G speeds.

hmmm, have u not read the prvious post?! Facetime does not need network it needs wifi.

Put the phone into airplane mode, then activate WiFi and make your call

why would u need to put it into airplane mode?

Puttng in airplane mode blocks carrier interaction with the call. I use my i4 at home with airplane mode to make FaceTime calls without my sim in. If I don't put it into airplane mode it won't make the call it's trying carrier interaction (no sim) and doesn't work. Think of as making an iPod touch FaceTime call on i4 when airplane mode is on.

Anyone able to get Facetime working in iphone 4 with chatr sim? When toggling on Facetime, it just shows 'wait for activation' and it never activates. Tried several methods on the internet regarding rebooting network settings, hard reset, etc.. but none of it works.

Facetime tries to use SMS short codes. If those aren't working it might be causing the problem.

I do not know how to fix it on Chat-r, but apparently it is fixed on the iphone 5

Hi i did that im having the same problem and still no look because if you turn on airplane mode there is no phone option available to click on to turn facetime on???

It took me about 2 hours of switching off & on FaceTime, caller id, wifi & reboot.... I somehow got my ip4 to work, however the same off & on, reset, reboot doesn't work on my wife's ip4.....

Its too bad facetime won't work on Chatr, someone must have found a way to get it to work. Please share your findings.

With a jailbroken phone, I tried a hacktivation mod from cydia and a few other mods, but none proved successful.
