Hey HF I need your help! I have an Xperia X10 and I just installed a Clarion VX709 in my Taco. I got the Bluetooth to work it recognizes it automatically and the music mute works flawless and the external mic works great.
My question is this: how do I get the deck and my phone contacts to sync or send my contacts from my phone to my deck!? I read the entire deck manual and it says that it is up to my phone to "send" the info to the deck-I read the manual for my phone and can't find anything there either..?
If I want to make a call I have to dial on the phone and then as soon as I push send it connects to the deck, I can't access the phonebook or use the dial screen on the deck?
I called Sony this afternoon and spoke with Technical Support and they basically said that as long as the devices will pair the contacts should show up on the deck and I should be able to dial phone #'s from the deck but that what I need to accomplish this is on the deck side not the phone side..
Thanks for your help-I tried it and my phone attempted to send the info but it came back as an error..I am going to try the 2.1 update and see if that makes any difference...otherwise I am wondering if the two components are just not compatible..? I wonder if I need to go to an iPhone-would suck as I just signed a 3 year contract with my Android.

I got it figured out I am embarrasingly admitting an epic fail..I was not aware that the phone out funtions would not work unless the park brake is on..you can answer the call while driving but not place a call from the deck unless you are parked with the handbrake applied..after that the deck is compatible with the business cards but you have to do one at a time whereas if you download an app "Bluetooth File Transfer" you can transfer the whole contact folder at once.
