I just upgraded from a T715 to Vivaz Pro and I am having problems with a few things. I also want to note that I have an unlimited mobile browsing add-on.
My T715 had a flash light feature where it would use the camera's flash. Does the Vivaz Pro have this feature, and if so how would you enable it?
I cannot seem to connect to any Youtube videos with the default Youtube application. I am able to search and browse for videos, but when I try to login or watch any videos I keep on getting an error where it cannot connect to the videos. It seems to be a timeout error as I wait for ~30 sec before the error appear. I have also tried changing the connection for Youtube as I have the following 3 to choose from: Internet, Multimedia msg, and WAP services. It is currently set to Internet.
What is the difference between using a provider internet connection, WAP browsing, and Wi-fi? Would wi-fi be the fastest? Are there any limitations between each connection type?
Is there any way to modify the 5 tabs on the home screen? I do not use Twitter and so that tab is useless for me. Is there anyway for me to customize what goes on each tab?
Is there any way to increase the vibration level? When the phone is in my pocket and is vibrating, it is not very strong so it is hard for me to feel it.
The contacts on my Sim card are saved in the format LastName;FirstName (Willis;Bruce). This is the format all my previous phones (T715, K510) has used. All of my previous phones had no trouble interpreting each contact as so and was able to properly display my contacts First name and Last name on the phone. When I copy my SIM contacts over to the Vivaz Pro, the Vivaz Pro still interprets each contact as LastName;FirstName. I have even tried changing the option so that it would display the first name first followed by the last name. This did not work.
Hey, how is your battery life on this??? i'm getting like 1.5 day only with like 20 minutes talking, 5 min browsing and 5 texts maybe.... what about you?
Sorry i don't know the answers to your questions either haha I'm also new to the phone.
For the first couple of days, I noticed that my battery life was awful. I was only getting ~45 min to talk per charge. After the first week, the battery life got much better. Today, on a full charge, I was able to get ~2 hours of browsing, ~10 texts, and ~45 min of talk before my battery life got red.
quick question, when u slide the phone open from standby mode *black screen*... does it take a while *say a few noticeable seconds* before your home screen is displayed properly on ur phone screen?

i am sorta guessing with some of my answers.. but i'll try my best to answer it....
1. Wi-fi is the fastest i think..*generally speaking*... i think even if u use provider internet connections... u could be using either GPRS *which would be covered under unlimited mobile browsing* or the 3G connection *which may incur data charges... i -think- this phone supports 3G? *
2. press middle button below ur display to get to the main menu.. go to Settings > Personal > Themes > Wallpaper <=== u can modify the 5 wallpaper options.. the changes u make will reflect on the tabs
3. i didnt see an option for that.. but maybe i havent played with this phone long enough....
Not wanting to jack your thread but I have an issue with my silent mode.
I tap on/off button on the back of the phone and tap silent but how the hell do I return to ringtone ???
I tried holding down the pound key (#) but nothing !!!
What do you mean by returning to ringtone? Do you mean to disable silent mode?
In previous Sony Ericsson phones I had, holding the pound key would do it. For the Vivaz Pro, you would tap the on/off button on the back of the phone once. This will display a menu showing various profiles (General, Silent, Outdoor, Meeting...).
When I hit the on/off button, only slient shows and not disable silent and don't even have the option to at least disable it.
The pound key doesn't work, unless I need to hold it down for days !!!! :S

I wished the manual guide would have more info on these little issues... and more complete !
Just came from a Samsung U600, so user-friendly in comparison to the Vivaz Pro.. but I like the Vivaz !

Ohh yah other little issue...
I have call display from FIDO (name and phone number) but I wish it would be the name I entered in my contact list and not the one that FIDO shows me.
I don't know if I'm being clear ???
EX: My mom's cell is under my name, since I'm paying for it but when she calls, my name appears and not her name, that is in my contact list !?

Odd. The phone should automatically recognize it is a saved contact. Not too sure here.
Does anyone know if there is a way, when using the slide-out qwerty keyboard, to cap lock so you can type all-cap, without needing to press the shift key before each letter? I've tried pressing the shift key repeatedly, and press and hold the shift key. I've enabled it a couple of times, almost accidentally, but I don't know how I did it.
Also, I can't seem to play youtube videos directly from the browser. I downloaded and use Opera Mobile11. When I click on a video, it asks to connect to server. But when I click Yes, it says maximum number of connections reached.
