As of Jul 18 you data + msg 20 feature will include 100MB instead of 250MB. The price will remain at $20/30days.
Anyone else get this, I'm pretty much forced to switch plans(if not carriers). No one else in Canada had anything close to this deal as far as $$/MB goes.
I've become used to ~200MB per month and my budget can't strech much belong $25 a month, what are my options?
EDIT: After checking out pre-paid plans of all 6 carriers, the best seems to be Bell.
15.75 for unlimited texting, which sounds aweful, but it means that 250mb costs $10.
which brings me to $25.75 which is the same as I was getting with Telus for $20... sigh
Yes I got the same MSG. Koodo is not bad. $15 for 500 mb of data. The only drawback is text is limited to 50 sent on voice plan. May have to look at bell as well.
Hi all,
I was bummed about the reduction to 100MB as well (and so were my kids), but according to MobileSyrup.com you can keep 250MB as long as you keep your Data Plus Messaging 20 plan on auto-renew.
I can't post a link, but it's here: mobilesyrup.com/2012/06/17/telus-making-changes-to-prepaid-data-on-july-18th
Hopefully this isn't BS. We will find out on Jul 18th, I guess.
Seems telus is going to overhaul the entire prepaid line. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE will also be caned now.
It seems that they are refunding prepaid users but I am now unsure if we get to keep it until the 365 days are over or we will not be able to call for roadside assistance after july 18th...
would be just great if we do get to keep it as by next year this time I should have a new car...
