Will this be considered "roaming" for SPCS customer or will it be native like iPCS was? IE. Will Customer's have EVDO coverage or just 1X and hopefully it is native so no roaming cap's and Anymobile will apply.
It should be considered native just like it is when one is on one of the SRA networks. Everything works just like it does in Sprint areas except that the SRA networks usually offer better coverage. I'm betting they are using higher power at the sites than what Sprint does.

Coverage will be EV-DO out of the gate. I do wonder what happens with existing Sprint customers in places like Carbondale and Marion where there's already existing Sprint coverage.
Edit: OK, I'm going to make a bet that these guys are only building out to zip codes that are currently not listed as Sprint Zip Codes. In Randolph County, that would be 62288 for Steeleville, 62272 for Percy and Willisville, and 62916 for Campbell Hill. In my hometown of Chester, the two companies might be better served to let Sprint build a cell here where they already sell service with limited coverage, and let SI Wireless use it for roaming to fill in the coverage gap that exists here. On the map, it will still be listed as Sprint coverage.
I've read that since it's part of the Sprint rural alliance that the any mobile any time would work in these areas. either way this spells SERIOUS trouble for ATNI in Southern Illinois as ALL of the investors involved in SI Wireless, are the same local telephone companies that sold First Cellular, then Alltel, and now ATNI/Alltel..
BUMP. The SI Wireless dba as Mobilenation network is up and running in Western Kentucky and Western Tennessee. Larry and Lenny please take note of increased Sprint native coverage in WKY and WTN.
