Transfer of Billing Responsibility and deposit question

My parents had a $150 deposit per line on their account. They have three lines. It hasn't been a year yet.

    I didn't have a deposit.

I transferred their lines to my account online...no deposit for the transfer, as expected.

What happens to the $450 that AT&T had on deposit for their old account?

Both accounts were at a $0 balance at the time of transfer.

Do we get a refund check?

Typically it takes up to 2 billing cycles for a credit refund to be applied/sent. The reasoning is that the company wants to ensure their are no pending charges (roaming, airtime overages, etc.) waiting to be applied to the old account.
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

But the deposits DO get refunded, correct?

I'm assuming the refund will come in a check because there are no lines remaining on the old account.

Yes, the deposits will be refunded. If after 2 billing cycles (from the old account) if they haven't received them, a call to customer service might be required. Usually not an issue, just so you know. Even if the account is closed, CS can look up the account using the Social Security # or the old account #.

Correct, they cannot do a bill credit since that account is closed.
