I have two Samsung Messager Touch phones (SCH-r630) that turn on but do not boot. The boot progress bar fills all the way, and then the phone stops booting (apparently) and is unresponsive. Is this a firmware problem? Is there any way to fix it?
I have given up on fixing the phones for now. I could buy a few more non-functional units for about $9 ea., but if this is the common failure mode, I could simply end up with five non-bootable devices. So, for now, the phones it in a box. "Don't throw good money after bad" applies here.
