I upgraded to the i1 today, and I freaking LOVE it... still in the Android learning curve, but I sure as hell like what I see up to now.
I will switch between the 8350i and the i1. Both are kickass phones with WiFi... enough said!![]()
Tracfone W175g is IMPOSSIBLE to flash. If you don't want to use it with Trac, it's WORTHLESS. Stop PM'ing me!

It seems that the i1 is getting good reviews. I'm thinking about changing my plans and getting one in January. I'm on Mike for over 10 years (since Clearnet), in fact I'm still using my original plan (400 minutes, billing by the second and all of the Mike extras). I had my first phone for 4 years and I'm on my current second phone for just over 6 years (i730). Two years ago I started looking into jumping over to CDMA and getting a smartphone. I waited for the Touch Pro, then the Touch Pro 2 and then Telus launched the HSPA network. The new plans for the HSPA network weren't that great, so I waited for better plans and better phones. Currently there's the HTC Desire HD coming and the Windows 7 phones and the next round of Android phones.
My problem is that if I switch over to HSPA, I'll loose all of my Mike extras which come with my plan but I have to pay extra for HSPA. Since the i1 was announced and now Telus has it, I thought about getting it and staying on Mike, thereby keeping my plan. According to the other thread, Telus might be getting rid of iden/Mike in 2013 - if that's true, then we get only 2 more years of Mike at which point we have to switch to HSPA (or LTE). I would like to read more reviews of the i1 though.

but some are strange ...
i don't have any problem with battery ... can use 2 days without any problem ...
Yes iden is slow with iden ... but opera mini work great !
and yes this smartphone have sms/mms ...
Quasi-Evil, I asked TELUS and take it for what it's worth, but appearantly Motorola will support iDEN until 2015. Besides, even if the MiKE network DOES get shut down, there's your opportunity to bargain for an HSPA plan to your liking.
The i1 is a terrific phone. Data isn't so bad with Opera Mini, and with WiFi as backup, and RF-wise/call quality-wise, this is THE BEST MiKE phone, HANDS DOWN.
Thanks, JusticePain. I'm going to do some more reading on the i1 and decide after that. CES might show some new phones as well.
Well, been a couple of days with the i1, and the more I use it, the more I love it. Everything that oxyg3n said about the i1, I second. I reboxed the 8350i and don't plan on whipping it out anytime soon... no way, this mad sexy i1 is just too damn good to put down.
