CDMA won't install on Windows 7

    Hi,

I followed this tutorial, but after reboot my Windows 7 laptop can't install the CDMA driver for the phone, there is no modem listed in my device manager either. The phone only shows up as a mass storage device. Is there any way to fix my issue?

I've gotten such a good education from HowardForums in the past so I've just registered. I am currently trying to tether a Samsung Freeform 3 to a pc for use as a modem. I have Metropcs. I totally get the instructions given by forcerecords for tethering the Samsung Freeform 2 because they are so thorough. My question is: are the instructions and codes the same for the Samsung Freeform 3 SCH-R380? Also, what drivers do I install from samsung.com/us/support? Can anyone help me with this one? I hope I'm posting this question in the right place!

I am a novice, trying to learn how to tether using my Samsung Freeform 3 (SCH-R380?). I understand the stepsl lined out above, but can not figure out how to unlock the phone to begin....Using google, I got a bunch of sites that want to sell me an unlock code...Is there a free source for this information? if so, where, and how do you use the code........Thanks for whatever help that you can provide...(ps this is a Metro PCS phone)..

The 1st step of the guide says to "unlock" your phone, but by that he means unlock as in press unlock and then space. (At least on the freeform 2 it was like that.) He doesn't mean to actually get the unlock code for it.

the lock codes and getting to them are different for the freeform 3... i have gotten to the first one so far... press menu, settings, then #. this will get you to the user lock. not sure what it is as i haven't dug too deeply into it...

How do I make this connection work

    Hi there
    Thanx for helping me out.
I really have no idea what I'm doing here.
Through blue tooth connection, I have paired the phone (Samsung free form III) to the tablet (Motorola Xoom)
and I have paired the table to the phone.
I can see each device on the other
I have tested sending pictures etc. from the phone to the tablet and vise versa.
All tests went thru with no problem.
However I cant seem to connect to the internet with it.
Can you please give me some instructions on how I would do this?
    your help is much appreciated.
    Thanx
    Rob

Do you remember where you posted your information about your venture into tethering the phone to the computer?
