Too bad about 99% of the U.S. population will never see those LTE speeds.

I'm seeing it, it's possible, there is no reason to be negative. I'm happy to see that a year old Verizon LTE network is still going strong.

Oh man I've never seen a better screen on any phone including iPhone 4. It's gorgeous! 1280x720 on a 4.3" panel Super LCD. 341ppi!!! It's snappy although Sense 3.5 is kinda heavy, but oh well. That phone is a keeper, and if it wasn't for Galaxy Nexus coming out in a few weeks, I would've been a happy camper. Radio performance has been dramatically improved over Thunderbolt.

Good to know, I am kind of bummed with purchasing two thunderbolts out of contract @ full retail price in July. All these new phones... Technology... can't win.

I hear you. I had to buy Rezound full price since that's the only way if you're on a concession line. But I have 30days to return/exchange it. Will have to do it once Nexus comes out, but Rezound would've been a true keeper. Great phone. Just stop by Verizon store and check out that screen!

They only built NYC to support that. It's 2 a.m., I'm about 150 feet from a VZW LTE tower and it maxes out at 30Mbps...

    Verizon's 3G network. ............................................ AT&T's 3G network.

And like everyone else in more less urban areas they seemingly cap the backhaul at 30mbit/s. You know their backhaul can and is remotely controlled. Therefore if they are seeing an extremely large amount of usage on certain sites over a period of time they can dial up the backhaul. Look at my signature, thats in Alabama, not the biggest market in the world.

Too bad you have never even used LTE service nor have Verizon. Obviously its possible to see those speed's, don't generalize your are with everywhere else. Obviously its possible even in rural places like Alabama because I hit 50 quite often, in the more rural area's they cap backhaul to 30, but its remotely controlled.

I just purchased it full price as well from Best Buy. One thing I have noticed is bad backlight bleeding, and the upper half of the screen is dingy compared to the bottom. The thing I hate about the Nexus and the Razr is they aren't Super AMOLED Plus screens which means they used Pentile. I can't stand the screen door look.

And in Milwaukee, WI I have hit 40-45mbps many times. Also not even close to one of the biggest markets.

Also, how much is the phone full retail price at BestBuy?

At BestBuy it was marked a whopping $799, but they clearly state they price match so you hold them to that and they will match a brick and mortar Verizon store's $649

I got the buyback and insurance because I am too lazy to deal with eBay and very clumsy.

Now that I am getting more use out of it, I am starting to love it! The audio sounds great, I don't listen to much R&B, I'm more of a country, rock, and classical guy but even then the Beats audio headphones and software sound pretty amazing. And bluetooth music streaming works great with my car's factory Infinity surround sound.

And it can talk and surf the web on 3G!!! Much improved chipset over the T-Bolt as well in my personal opinion. Well software wise at least because its still the MDM9600, just properly implemented this time
