I take it back, it was just the FRG83D build (I don't use my N1 every day). Still waiting for Gingerbread to be pushed to my N1.
Google announced today that it'd be "a few more weeks" - whatever that means in Google-land
the Nexus S will be the first phone with Gingerbread. Google already said that.
The S goes on-sale December 16th. So depending on what kind of "deals" where cooked-up between Sammy & Google we might be looking at an exclusive rights agreement to GB for awhile. Maybe till January.
... or, they just start pushing GB the day after the S is available.
Can't really say. IMO, lots of out-of-character stuff going on with Google & the Nexus S.
I leaned toward the "Nexus S released than 2.3 get push out OTA to the rest of us months later".
I would be pissed if I got a new Nexus S and Joe Smo with an older phone is running the same OS within days.
No show off factors for new phone.![]()
also still waiting![]()
There is an unofficial version which I have been using for a few days, and except no video, just camera - this one is a keeper. Faster, better voice quality, and more polished interface compared to froyo.

Yeah they are making good progress at XDA with the GB for N1.
Last I heard camcorder work with low resolutions.
Myself I'm waiting on the CyanogenMod's release
more than a month of nothingness.
Gingerbread comming soon
