I had the same problem as you my phone synced with my gmail contacts, facebook, and sim card contacts. I picked the contact i wanted in my phone book and while looking at the contact go into options and it give you the option to link contacts. That way you link all the other contacts into one.

I have this problem and can't figure out how to automatically link contacts. I've gotten a notification a couple of times that duplicate contacts have been found and do I want to link them. I've pressed OK on those but still seem to have duplicates (I haven't verified if the ones that I clicked OK on were linked.) I can see how to manually link contacts but it is a huge pain as I've got 300+ entries. Anyone know how to kick off a process that will search and identify the duplicates and link them automatically? I've searched and can't find this.

My solution (may not be acceptable for all):
    1. Make sure Outlook Contacts and Calendar are current and up to date.
    2. Log onto Gmail and delete contacts and calendar, Log onto My.T-Mobile.com and delete contacts, Delete SIM contacts if any.
    3. Download MyPhoneExplorer from http://www.fjsoft.at/en/
    4. Set MyPhoneExplorer to force Outlook to Phone.
    5. Sync contacts and calendar.

The software will erase all your contacts and calendar and replace them with Outlook entries.
    No more dups.

NOTE: You may also have to delete other syncing programs such as Facebook.
    It's me again...
