Red face porting out to wind or mobilicity very soon

I am thinking about porting to wind or mobilicity next week. They have a such good plans and reception near my house and work.

1.My 3 yr plan will expire on Dec. 11th this year. Can I just go to wind or mobility to port on the 11th OR do I have to go on 12th to port? I do not want to pay the early termination fee.

    2. ALso should I change to the cheapest plan before my term ends because I know that Telus needs 30 days in advance to cancel the term. By changing to the cheapest plan, maybe I pay less for the remaining 1 month.

Too bad... after 10 yrs with Telus, I have to port 2 numbers. L&R dep. is not as good (plan and customer service) as what it used to be.

Used to have Telus TV,now Shaw; Telus landline, now Shaw; Telus internet, now Shaw...

    Thanks for your great help!

wait till the 12th just to be sure and yes, change to the lowest plan possible since you wont be able to make any changes once your number is ported out.

I'm sick and tired of seeing them lazy repair techs sitting outside peoples apartments / houses wherever and idling the vans for god knows how long! That's why I'm switching. And yes... not feeling any love talking to reps. And the SAF.

He's talking about techs for home services like internet and home phone, not tech support for wireless.

My Comment Still stands. How the heck does he think Wind techs get out to their towers?

How should he expect Land Line Techs to respond to Customer Calls? Until there is a new form of Transport invented that is practical to replace our beloved internal combustion engine, Support Techs will still need to drive to the clients location to properly install/support many issues.

somehow it got out of the topic but thank you for the answers. I will change the plans and I will switch them on De, 12th just to be safe. Last 10 years, telus have been great but I guess I have to move on You just can not beat $40 for everything including data from Wind.

It has nothing to do with driving there. It is to do with IDLING the vans for GOD KNOWS HOW LONG. Not sure where you live but here in Vancouver it's against the law to idle your vehicle for extended periods of time. Not to mention harmful to the environment.

I guess SHAW, PLUMBERS, BC HYDRO....... never ever idle their vehicles, JUST TELUS RIGHT? Get a grip dude.

It would probably be better for the techs to complete their work orders and pickup work orders with their laptops while driving so they don't piss you off by sitting at the side of the road to do it.
