Hey mods, how about stickying this thread so people actually see it?
The one thing that sticks in the back of my mind is why the total rename? Most of the the phones mentioned could be ported to VM with little or no name chance. The one series of phones that would have to be completely re-branded is the Motorola Droid series. The Droid name is a Verizon only brand. I could see a repackaged Droid 2 or X. The specs are pretty close also. The 2 has a smaller screen than the survey and the X has a slightly larger screen and an 8MP camera.
omg i would buy the arcade fire just for the name
I dont have time to read through this whole thread. Any VM phones coming out soon with a slide out keyboard. MY intercept doesnt work with voip calling whioch blows.
The only phone there's even any semi-certainty for at this point is the one Virgin said was its next phone in the survey that went out a few days ago, which from the description is likely to be a variant of the Huawei Ideos X6, which does not have a keyboard. If you live in a 4G LTE area you can buy the MetroPCS Samsung Indulge that just came out...that one does...for $400.![]()

CON-Tracts??? We don't need no stinking contracts!
It might not happen in 2011, but the rumors about an Apple iPhone "nano" have made me speculate if Virgin Mobile might be a good candidate for this device sometime in 2012:

This article says the phone would sell for $200 without a contract. That is certainly in the price range of VM's previous handets like the Intercept, Optimus, and Curve. I could only imagine the chaos which would ensue if a pre-paid carrier with $25/month plans for unlimited data and messaging offered this pared-down iPhone.
Perhaps I'm dreaming here, but how many of us thought one year ago that VM would have two different Android phones in their lineup by February 2011?
I am excited for a true superphone, though I have actually been quite impressed with the Optimus. Sure it is not the best phone ever, but for what it costs it is extremely good. Keep in mind Gigantic screens, and super fast processors will massacre a battery. That being said typing is a bit of a hassle on a 3.2" screen I used my friends phone with a 4" screen and it felt just right.
