I currently own the Virgin mobile LG Rumor Touch. I would like to know if there are any new Android Cell phones coming to Virgin Mobile soon ~ other than the Samsung Intercept ? Thanks.

There's that Optimus people are thinking of. (Read up on the Optimus threads here.)
VM hinted at more android in the future on a Facebook post a few weeks back. I'd imagine the OptimusVM will be the first of maybe two in the year.
These won't be officially pre-announced before Christmas because VM won't want people to postpone purchases if something better is due out in a couple of months. 4th quarter numbers are important to the bottom-line for the year.![]()
There is a potential probability VM might increase prices with more Android & BB smartphones on the network to cover upgrade expenses. If they didn't care they
could just open their network for Sprint phones (I don't think they are making too much money from retailer part of the business but has to deal with phones issues).
I contacted Virgin Mobile and they said that the LG Optimus will be released Feburary 1, 2011 and that they will be adding plently of handsets during this year. I guess we'll just have to wait and see! :P
Where do you see metro offering a galaxy s phone? Did this just get announced? The only phone I was aware of that is on their 4G network is the Samsung Craft, which isn't even a smartphone, let alone a Galaxy S phone. And about their 4G, it sucks, Tmobiles hspa+ network (which isn't 4G) is faster.
Edit, I found what you are talkin about, but its priced a little higher than 300, I read anywhere from 350-399.
I'm sure their 4G network is faster than the Intercepts Rev. 0 but this thread isn't about network speed. I'd happily pay $50-$100 more for a Galaxy S than I paid for the the Intercept. For people that need more than 300 minutes, MetroPCS is probably a much better deal seeing you can get the Galaxy S, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited 4G web for $40/mo. I don't need more minutes or faster internet so for me it's still not worth the extra $15/mo but I am happy to see that a contract-free Galaxy S has come down in price. Hopefully VM will get a comparable phone sometime this year.

Metro no longer offers a free month of service when you open a new account and buy one of their phones. They stopped that in early 2010.
I'm hoping that a QWERTY phone or two gets added to the PayLo lineup. I have a son who's clamoring for a QWERTY phone, but whose usage level doesn't justify a BT plan.
If you can find ye olde Kyocera XTC, I think VM allows it on PayLo now.
Any comparison facts/rumors on next batch of phones coming out for holidays.
