Could someone please recommend a good T-Mobile phone for someone with hearing problem

Looking for a T-Mobile or unlocked GSM phone for my mom to use on T-Mobile network. She has trouble hearing on her current phone, I forgot what the brand model it was. Just need a basic phone that costs under $150 since she doesn't use the web, email or text.

I'm considering these two at the moment....

Either of them any good? Any other suggestions?

maybe a blackberry. i know she doesn't browse the web or text but it's almost impossible to beat the speaker on one of those. she can just use it for voice calls without paying for a data plan.
HTC Thunderbolt (daily driver) - Verizon
HTC EVO 4G (backup) - Page Plus
Apple iPhone 4 (now an overpriced iPod) - AT&T GoPhone

Nah, I think Blackberry is too complicated/confusing for her. Plus doesn't it cost way more than $150?

blackberries are pretty simple to use. and i see used blackberry 8520s, 8320, and 9700, for around or under the $150 on craigslist all the time. who knows, she might come to enjoy the organizing features they offer.

for basic phones, i had a nokia 6133 with t-mobile a couple of years ago and the speaker was amazing. definitely up to par with my blackberry and the various nextel phones i've owned over the years.
