    Switching phone numbers between accounts

    I had called in numerous times and was told it was possible and now am being told its not.

    The situation basically comes down to me having 2 phone plans on 1 account.
    Phone 1 has plan A
    Phone 2 has plan B

    I want to switch phone 1 to plan b and phone 2 to plan a.

    i was then going to do transfer of responsibility and give phone 1 on plan b away to someone else.
    that person would then port there number from koodoo so they would retain their number and the plan.

    i was told that the TOR and port is not a problem but that i would not be able to switch the phone numbers and plans after numerous times of confirmations being told that it would be possible.

    Anyone here able to help out and let me know definitively one way or the other.

    Have you tried a more simple approach? perhaps you can call in to a Customer Service Agent and ask for the following.

    Phone Number 1 - Plan A.
    You: Hello CSR, Can you change my price plan to this <Plan B> Plan?
    CSR: Sure

    Phone Number 2 - Plan B
    You: Hello CSR, Can you change my price plan to this <Plan A> Plan?

    I believe this is what your goal was, correct? There is no need for a TOR or a Port in this case.
    Just as long as the plans are still currently offered in-market plans then sure this can be done, otherwise Retentions may need to get involved.

    These are both retentions plans and the one I want to keep includes the 6 gb($30 -$15credit).

    ok you did not specify this in your original post. you should make yourself more clear. so it looks like probaly the retentions rep may be the only one to help you.

    So if I might jump into this thread? Am I to understand that I can't trade numbers between my plans?
    1. I've got a sweet retentions plan, but I use it very little.
    2. My wife has a readily available, nothing special plan that isn't enough for her (and is too young for retentions interest).
    My solution: Call Rogers, ask to give my plan to her number, and switch my number to her plan. Sounds simple to me. But is that something I can't do with Rogers?
