I'm looking to buy a refurbised E71 or 6790 so I can use the sim in my old 3g factory unlocked IPHONE. But I see you posted that the sim was TP64PSIMC4 but the first post said it has to be TF64PSIMC4. I know that one works because i use it in my Iphone 4.I just dont want to buy a refurb. and it comes with the wrong sim.

They dont cut you permenantly for over 2 gb of data usage they...They do a temporary disconnect and it only happened to me when I used over 6 gbs 1 month tethering LOL..All you do is call in and say you left youtube on all night all thats what happened.. So don't worry about a permanent disconnect
The jailbreak tutorial link in the OP is broken. The page it redirects to no longer has a greenpois0n tutorial. Is it essential to use greenpois0n as opposed to redsn0w or snowbreeze? I have an iPhone 3g that I have been using without MMS, but I've been having issues with it thinking the battery is fully charged while charging, but actually still being empty and also issues with lag too, so I am restoring to defaults and hoping that will fix those issues and I was going to go ahead and jailbreak while I was at it, but I want to make sure I am doing it right because I am not that technically savvy when it comes to cellphones.Thank you!
Use whichever jailbreaking method is most convenient for your device and version of iOS.![]()
So is it all clear to go ahead and get a refurbished e71 from the straight talk website and the SIM will be ok for my iphone 4? Thanks ahead of time for your help and replies! :-)
For instructions on using Androids with Straight Talk don't PM me....I don't usually answer....click here!

Anybody want to sell one of these iphones converted to straight talk.
I can resist everything except temptation.
There's no reason to pay someone. The entire process is basically spelled out for you in the first page of the thread. It breaks down as:
1. Buy the iPhone, Straight Talk Nokia smartphone and MicroSIM cutter (if needed, for the iPhone 4).
This is shopping, probably one of the least technical activities possible.
2. Install SIM in iPhone. Set up iPhone to access your WiFi and e-mail account. E-mail yourself the mobileconfig file linked to the first post in the thread.
The Apple store people can help you with this. They sell unlocked iPhones now, so they won't care whatsoever that your SIM card doesn't say AT&T. Also, don't forget your local RadioShack salespeople are generally willing to help with this sort of thing if they think it will help them sell a screen protector or case (and you probably do want a case for your iPhone, trust me).
3. Jailbreak to set up MMS (picture messages).
This part requires a minimal amount of technical wizardry. There are people on Craigslist offering jailbreaking services and they can easily set up your MMS if you show them this thread. It's also possible you know a co-worker/family member/neighbor kid who has a jailbroken iPhone and can set it up for you. You can also just totally skip this step and just not use MMS - some people don't mind not having it.
Yeah I read that. It doesn't look hard at all. I thought someone might have one for sale is all.
