I know. I always do it a week early but things come up and it didnt get done early this month.
My mom bought me this phone
So I bought a Nokia E71 and I have a iPhone 3GS. I had it unlocked but I restored it back to factory settings. After activating the E71, I put the sim card in the iPhone. It just keeps saying "could not activate iPhone." Any idea's on what the problem might be?

Hey I'm looking into this. If I bought an unlocked iphone 4 from craigslist would following these steps still allow my iphone to function correctly?

So if anyone reads my other post...maybe you can use your iPhone AND E71 with 2 different numbers for the price of 1?Kind of like a family plan where you only pay for one phone. $45 a month for 2 smart phones unlimited talk and text and 4GB (maybe truly unlimited on the SIM that is not technically on your account?) of data.
Edit: Maybe this is normal but I had to put the APN setting in again when I put the new SIM in. It had changed back to "phone"
Edit 2: You also need to change your Wiki article to say that tetherme is NOT available on the iPhone 2G it is NOT compatible with 3.1.3

Attention iPhone 4S users. If you have access to a Mac, feel free to update your phone to ios 5.01 and jailbreak your phone using absinthe. Then install tetherme from cydia to edit your apn settings for data and mms. I just did 3 iPhone 4s' and they all worked just fine. Read the how to on Iclarified.com
Some other cool apps to install with cydia are
Fake operator - allows you to change the carrier name from home to anything you want
3G unrestrictor - allows FaceTime and hd YouTube videos over 3G.
Sbsettings - do not install if you don't know what this is.

I bought a Nokia 6790 from Straight Talk. Followed these instructions. Up to getting the download for the zip file. I can make/receive calls and texts. My Wifi isn't working on the iPhone. It says it working in the settings but it won't connect for some reason. I even reset my network settings. What else can I do?
Someone help me get my Wifi to work. Without it I can't do the install needed. HELP!!

If wifi is not working it has nothing to do with your sim card...your wifi may be burned out on your motherboard. Get a different phone

Can anyone see my posts about my iPhone? Usually everyone is commenting on everything in all threads. This place is very busy. I post some really cool/interesting/weird phenomenon that's happening with my iPhone and E71 and all the sudden no one is commenting. All the mundane boring posts and repeat posts from people not using the search button are getting comments...I'm just wondering if I've been blocked or censored or something?

But at least someone replied. So I guess I am not invisible lol. I just figured as crazy as it was someone would have a comment/idea/etc. The main thing is that I am getting service on 2 SIMs and paying for one. I changed my number and the other Sim I was supposed to throw out still works. Also that guy who made the wiki needs to change it to say that tetherme will not work for iPhone 2g.

There is at least 2 reasons nobody cares about your thread.
1. Contrary to popular beliefs that droid phones are making inroads, the iPhone is still the top dog and the 5.0.1 jailbreak just dropped for A5 devices so most peeps is busy with that and its hacks.
2. Your thread seems to be about leveraging some bug to get free service. Most people looking at this plan most likely have money but just wish to save money and its about the principle of not getting ripped off by the greedy providers. Not sure peeps wanna steal service and turn a good thing bad.
