You've posted this in a ST and iPhone thread. You're much more likely to get a faster response if you first see if there is another recent thread that deals with your type of phone/issue, or just start a new thread in the main Straight Talk forum.

Got 3GS on St, and got the Att televav app for voice directions and traffic avoidance gps, you enter your cell number and it TXTs a number to you that you need to enter in the app.... But this costs $9.99 a month, billed to your cell account....I have not gone any further, but wondered if it will work, and if so, is there any way it can bill me on ST?
    Tnx ya'll.

It won't work and if it did ST would cancel your line.

doesn't Waze work on a 3GS? I find it as good as all the paid navigation apps for my uses.

I will check it out, was looking for an app that could voice guide me and avoid traffic, to avoid buying a GPS.

Also, now that ST and iphone are out of the closet, am I ok to buy the $30 refill card rather than the $45?
I am an original nokia e71 buyer, but think I can live with the 30 MB limit of the cheaper plan.

    I have an at&t iPhone 4. iOS 5.1.1

I did jailbreak with Greenpois0n absinthe.

    I installed OpenSSH from cydia.

I installed WinSCP on my windows 7 PC.

I opened up WinSCP, copied and pasted the preferences.plist ( I did not see the other .plist file you all mention) to my desktop, I used plist editor and changed it to att.mvno like you all say.

I restart my phone and I can send/receive picture messages. If I restart my phone again (after installing something or if it dies) the plist file goes back to cingular and I cannot send/receive pic messages.

Anyone else have this problem/know what to do?

    Thanks

Yes. Can that approach entirely. Open Cydia, go under Manage, Edit, Add, type in apt.xsellize.com, click Add Source. Go into that source, select TetherMe, and install. Now you have Cellular Data Network under Settings>General>Network. Enter the correct MMS APN settings as outlined on this site, and/or as found at other places on the web including unlockit.co.nz. MMS works. Enjoy.

You don't need unlock it but it doesn't hurt anything.

My MMS is not working on my iPhone 4s. *When I first purchased the phone, a jailbreak was not available so I went the unlockit route. *When the untethered jailbreak became available, I jailbroke it and followed the instructions on the first page of this thread to get MMS to work. *It still didn't work. *I later found out I needed to delete unlockit. *I *think* I did that... I can't find it anywhere anymore. *Once I deleted unlockit, I think I was able to send one picture message to my husbands verizon blackberry. *I have received picture messages from non-iPhone users on Verizon, but I can't send them. *I haven't received one in a long time, so I'm not sure if that still works or not, but the one outgoing message to my husbands blackberry is the only outgoing to a non-iPhone I have ever gotten to go through. *My settings still look right... Any ideas?

If your MMS APN settings under Cellular Data Network are correct, then MMS should work. You do realize that Cellular Data must be On for you to send/receive MMS right? It will not work if you are on wifi.

Can a Verizon iphone 4 work with AT&T sim card? Or can it be jailbroken to use the Straight Talk sim?

    Hi all:

I bought a Nokia E71 a long time ago with the intention of using the sim in an iPhone. Well, I never got around to buying an iPhone and making the switch. Now that they have the sim available by itself, I am wondering 2 things. One is the sim they sell you the same as the one in my E71 (in other words, should I keep my sim for the iphone and not worry about buying one of their 'special' sim cards?

And two, my data seems REALLY slow. The phone says I am getting 3G, but everything is just super slow. Is this my phone that is being slow, or is the the Straight Talk service? Reason I ask this is because I don't want to spring for an iPhone and still have the terribly slow experience I am having. But if it is just my phone I would go for the iPhone in a second to get faster service.

I am new at all this an not real technically savvy, so I appreciate any input.
