    This is false.
You need to buy the Nokia E71 and then store the phone in your closet.

Why are people not understanding this?

    Internet goes in and out

hi. So i was in my aunt's house yesterday for Easter. (About an hour away from my house).
Anyway, i notice that the signal for ST was full, but the 3G or E was missing from the top of the iPhone. Naturally, i checked email and tried to get in facebook, and i couldnt.
When i was driving home, all of a sudden the 3g came back up. So does anyone know why data can go in and out sometimes?
So for for this month, i have racked up only about 50 megs, so I am not hogging at all.

Since Straight Talk allows roaming on the GSM network, you attached to a small regional GSM carrier that provided no data on their network.
You can either eat the two peanuts I gave to you, or crush them..

is there anything wrong with just getting the 6790 or is e71 a better chance of getting right sim. I see that everyone is getting the e71 and just wondering why?

The E71 is more widely available in Walmart stores.

I don't have hands on experience with the 6790, but the E71 actually surprised me. It really looks sleek and modern from the side and front on in person. The keyboard has a nice touch to it. I have big fingers, and I did not skip a beat with the texting at all!

The E71 shines on the internet when you use the Opera Mini browser. It is really easy to navigate and zoom in/out, and so on. You can get a little crazy with the customization of the phone through a firmware flash, as well. (I was bored while I waited for my Defy, haha)

I don't want to activate it right away since I don't own an iPhone yet (and it would be pointless to start the billing cycle) - but I would like to grab one of these SIMs with the required ID/Serial Number to ensure I can pull this trick off in the future (assuming this trick/hack will still be working then)

As I side note, as I mentioned previously the phone I really want is an E-71 (I think) so I suppose I can just keep the Straight Talk one around for spare parts and to have a 2nd battery, and a donor phone for replacement parts, etc. for my "main" E-71.

    Ciao!
There is no time limit on activating a purchased ST phone.

I say everyone bombard that guys e-mail, trying to make money on this...shame on him! And if he does tell you how to get a sim without buying a phone, then I bet you there is something less than legal involved.

I had read this before someone in an article but others refused to believe me. It seems this is pretty solid INTEL that the AT&T based StraightTalk phones do indeed roam. This is quite pleasing to me.

Access to cellular data network without jailbreaking. I don't have MMS because I don't want to deal with jailbreaking and all the issues that go with it. I ran across this YouTube video with links to an apple support program that allows access. Do you think this would work for setting up MMS?
