You can transfer the SIM to any other phone at any time or back and forth into as many different phones as you like.

2- Little chance they will put a different SIM in any E-71`s. I would worry more about them replacing the E-71 with a different model phone and SIM and you will have lost out. They have stopped selling some models in the past.

3- Both Nokia`s should be the same price. Both probably too popular for discounting to be necessary.

You need to understand the pitfalls of buying used or you can get into big problems with the phone or the SIM you receive.

The $49.99 Iphone is the price with a 2 year contract.
1.) So you are saying I can go ahead and activate the E71 and start using service on that phone then when I have the money to buy a iPhone I can still go ahead and transfer the sim to the iPhone and start using that phone? (although I might just wait since the $199.99 price tag at Wal Mart does not include the $45 ST unlimited plan..

3.) Both sims in the Nokias work the same in the iPhone then?

Pitfalls of buying what used? Only thing I would be buying used is the iPhone and that shouldn't matter as I'll be using the ST sim in it. I will only buy the phone from a trusted source.

Edit: Stupid question..but how do you refill the iPhone for ST airtime when its required?

    1) That`s right, activate and use the E-71 as long as you wish. If you ever have trouble with the Iphone, put the SIM back in the E-71. Move the SIM to any other phone and back, a different phone every day.

    2) The same SIM goes in either Nokia. Since you must keep the E-71, most people choose it over the other. WIFI is the important difference.

Sorry, mixed up on which phone to be purchased used. Your OK with a used iphone.

Refill on-line with the SIM in any phone, no need to move it back to the E-71. Although if you had to contact a CSR they might ask for Info off the E-71 that wasn`t really necessary they ask.

I noticed that ST has several phones now that are on AT&T and are much cheaper than the E71 (models that end with G). I wonder if their sim card will work?

This has already been discussed and those sims will not work. The nokias have a special sim with a p in it that works with other phones

    worst customer service ever!!

i finally got my E71 and activated it just would not work. phone would not read sim. (the sim came inside phone already when purchased) customer service took hoursssss to finally tell me the phone was defective. i returned to walmart and got the nokia 6790 slider and straight talk messed up my account and wouldn't give me the $45 from the unlimited plan on the new phone because the stupid customer rep that activated my first E71 didn't give me a phone number and when i returned the phone. it deactivated the account. vanishing the $45 somehow. so after countless hours of phone calls and getting disconnected constantly. they finally got my account activated. it only took them 2 days

works great with the Iphone tho.. does lose sigal in my kitchen for some reason maybe because it just activated a few hours ago? or something i don't i'll keep ya posted.

my nokia e71 internet doesn't work whatsoever and i am tired of dealing with ST horrible customer service and lasting 2hrs on the phone turning off/on my nokia every 5mins for no results. So I just popped it in my iPhone4 and forgot about getting internet to work on nokia. Text/Calls/3G Internet works on my iphone.. Word of advice don't upgrade to 4.3.3 (im getting dropped calls really really crazy)

Anyone else having 3G issues today? I'm using a iphone 3GS., I'm near the end of the 30 days, almost time for a new card. My usage is 616mb so far and I really only use wifi, except when at work which I just view websites, no videos or internet radio. Do you think they would have flagged me for this amount? I've been trying to call them and its been a headache so far, any ideas?

HELP!! I have 2 iPhone 4's on OS 4.3.3. and while the phones work perfectly the data doesnt. I tried installing 3 different patches from different threads, including the unlockit.co.nz link and NOTHING!

Could it be that because i ported my att numbers the data doesnt' work? Because the first time i activated the phone with a new number from straight talk the thing worked. However, when I installed the mms jailbreak it messed up both phones and data never worked.

I tried to restore, jailbreak, unjailbreak, etc i have tried everything humanly possible and data doesnt work!! I also tried it on a fresh 3GS and data doesn't work.

Are there other patches that I can try besides the one listed on this forum? HELP PLEASE!!!

I don't think they flagged you. I have only heard of people getting flagged for over 2 gb. Maybe try putting the SIM back into the E71 and see if that works. Does all your other functions (calls, sms, and mms) work?

Yeah I can still make calls, send text messages, but mms doesnt seem to be working, I'm trying from my E71. This is strange.

To add to this I just called them, they state that my account hasn't been flagged and everything is ok with regarding that, but then why is my data not working, on either my e71 or iphone?

You just don't seem to understand the way to go about using an Iphone for starters. AT&T has made this phone their baby for a damned good reason and that reason is to insure that the MAJORITY of techies and data junkies use this phone. You have to be smart enough to know how to manipulate the establishment though to do so frugally. First you have to have the unlimited plan for DATA ONLY just get the lowest minutes as you will be using Google talk and txt for everything BUT data and you will get the highest speeds avialable along with the most coverage on the planet for a grand total of 80 bux for 2 Iphones. After all it is AT&T's technology why would they allow someone else to out do them at their own game ding dong?
