Speed test...
Wow.
As much as I thought I had read through all of this, and I still had it wrong! lulz
Thought sure the JB was necessary for MMS & 3G
D'oh!
Well, mladyd, at least you're game for the JB.
I certainly enjoy the enhanced control JB brings.
One of my favorite utilities is SBSettings.
Lets you close individual apps that normally stay running after they are opened, toggle 3G, WI-FI, Bluetooth (and many others) on and off, and a lot of other controls.
DataCounter is also pretty cool - tracks data usage and even has a real-time display in the top status bar when data is active.
On a somewhat related note, I've got 2 6790s lined up for purchase tomorrow when I get paid.
Thinking of selling one of them for $125, unopened, never activated.
Keep the other for my son.

Well I'm rooted with a custom ROM installed that is a little faster. Also, you end up with different results just by simply switching servers on speed test. Try Atlanta.

Hey guys, I have an iphone 3g and a 3gs and looking to get service with straight-talk. Does anyone know if you still need to get a certain phone and plan from them to get the right sim card for use in one of these iphones? Also, Is there a more recent mobileconfig file?
