I have not setup my ST voicemail yet, and back in my Virgin Mobile days I remember people saying they wanted to discontinue their VM voucemail in order to set up google voice on their phones and use its voice mail instead, but they only had 300 min/month, so using google voice thru 3G made sense I guess.
Is there any benefit to try that with ST, or should I just set up my ST voice mail?
Also, is anyone using Youmail from cydia in order to have visual voice mail work? Sounds good to me.....!
T-Mobile Prepaid Web.....its an adventure!
Try the phone first without setting up Voicemail. You can always easily set it up at any time, getting it removed may be impossible.
You must keep the phone from which you removed the unlocked SIM. If something happens to that SIM (lost/stolen phone?) you will not be able to activate a replacement SIM (you would have to buy everything all over again, if it were even still available).
Is it true that you can't use the e71 anymore because they are screwing with the sim cards and branding them???
I just bought a 3gs and dont want the hassle of buying the e71 if it doesnt work anymore.
So I just want to clarify that I can or cannot use an at&t iphone 4 or can I? I was going renew my contract to get the phone and then give my old phone to my wife and take the iphone to ST and tell at&t I want just continue to use my old phone?
iPhone 3GS having a problem with the MMS. I can not send or receive MMS. I have set the setting to match the instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. IOS 4.1
Awesome! Buying my e71 today!
Thanks man!
You can use the iPhone 4 on ST, but once you say you're going back to your old phone, you're either going to have to return the iPhone 4, or you're going to have to pay the same monthly bill for using an iPhone, even though you'll be using an older phone. There's no way they'll let you keep the iPhone 4, then just go back to your old phone and cheaper Bill. They lose money (or barely break even) when selling people the iPhones, then make it up on the monthly bill.So I just want to clarify that I can or cannot use an at&t iphone 4 or can I? You're better off to just buy an iPhone off of eBay and take it to straight talk. Way less hassle. I've sold 3 iPhones on there so far.
I am currently trying to do this. I had a Nokia E71 that was broken, anyways, long story short, they have sent me 3 new sim cards, all of which had the "P" in the number as it states you need on the first page of this thread.
However, they just sent me a replacement phone and the sim card in that on had no "P" in it. So I swapped it for one that did and am now on the phone with them. They say they cannot process and activate my phone without sending me a new sim card. I am convinced it is because im trying to use the one that works, but I will keep you updated.
Anyone know a way around this? Or do you absolutely need the "P" in the sim pin?
Thanks

You need the unlocked SIM with the P with an E71. All you can do now is keep calling CS till you get a CSR that knows what they are doing. Try 800-876-5753.
PS: The replacement phone IS an E71, right?
