So quick question in this ever long topic.
Does anyone know if this samsung T528g will work like the E71 or 6790. This would be great since it's $50 cheaper.

Can a person check the sim or number on the sim before buying the phone and determine from that whether it's unlocked or not. I know the first post tell a set of numbers that are supposed unlocked sim
Why does everyone say to not buy the phone of eBay? Doesn't straight talk just send you a new sim any ways? And the sim they send you can't be locked because it wouldn't work in the e71? I really don't feel like I should be paying 180 for just a sim, when I can pay about 100 on eBay.
There are issues with activation on ST phones sold over eBay. Sometimes when a phone has been deactivated for over data usage, they completely bar the phone from being used again. And, if the phone has been shut off for any other reason, sometimes it is not able to get back on ST because CS see's a flag on the phone, and therefore, will not activate the phone for another person. You would have to have the original owner verify the details and account info before the phone can be activated again. That doesn't usually happen on eBay.
Fyi,

It will tell you if it is clear or not?
One would actually have to have the phone in hand to check the IMEI. Who knows whether the IMEI given by the seller matches the phone you receive?
