Turrizm......thank you bro, i followed what you told me and i can now send pics in mms! It works......just so everyone knows I think there is alot of confusing info and outdated **** floating around.....I have a 3gs with a new bootrom number and i jailbroke my phone using absinthe....i then went into cydia and downloaded tetherme for $5 i then followed the directions on the wikipage under data and mms.....remember unlockitz is not needed just jailbreak the phone and type in what it says under the data and mms section.....my phone is now able to send pics through text messaging!

So my lonely journey continues....

So I decided go the unlock of my unlocked phone. Now I am on 6.15.00. did not want to do it but it was looking like there were fewer and fewer options for me. Unlocking phone went well and then ultrsn0w. That went fine but still no mms or data. Decided to uninstall and reinstall tetherme and still no results.

If someone has any idea of what I need to do please, please let me know.

Hey folks is been a while since i last came in here. Still rocking my Iphone 3G unlock and jailbroken. No MMS issues and Im loving it . Now I'm looking forward to upgrading to an 4S. Since we all know the Iphone 5 should be out soon. Also since we are in the subject more prepaid carriers are bring in the Iphone 4S now all we need is ST to start selling it too..lol . So anyway folks just came in to say Thanks to mr Romero and the rest of the gang for the great support.

i just got an iphone 4 and i have tried att sim, H2O and simple mobile sim and each time i put the sim cards in my iphone says no service and does not show any names of the sim card that is in, my straight talk sim should hopefully arrive on monday will that fix my problem or is my iphone messed up?? im on 5.1.1 jailbroken

Simply get the new sim ordered. Keep your current phone active. Once you get the micro sim just port it over. It's easy and you don't need a service card.

I'm trying to get rid of my e71 too and I used a sim cutter lol to cut the sim to fit the iphone4, did you too ?
how did you get free shipping ? i have a galaxy nexus unlocked on the way and it looks like it uses standard sim but if i dont like it, im going to get a iphone 4s after i sell my iphone4 and prob do a sim cut again .

I recently ran the Absinthe v2.0.4 jailbreak (JB) on my 3GS, and the Cydia App was automatically installed as a part of the jailbreak process. Look through your list of apps to make sure it's not there. You can use Spotlight to easily search for it if you want (swipe towards the right from your Home Screen). If it didn't get installed, you may have to restore the phone to factory settings in iTunes, and then do the JB again. I did a quick google search on "cydia not installed after jailbreak", and found several links that might be helpful.

If you have to try the JB again, I suggest carefully following the JB directions from the Greenpois0n website:

How To Use Absinthe 2.0 (if you’re unjailbroken):

1. Make a backup of your device in iTunes by right clicking on your device name under the ‘Devices’ menu and click ‘Back Up’.


2. Once your backup is complete return to your device and go to Settings – General – Reset – Erase all Content and Settings. This will make the jailbreak process much faster.


3. Open Absinthe and be sure you are still connected via USB cable to your computer.


4. Click ‘Jailbreak’ and wait…. just be patient and do not disconnect your device.


5. Once jailbroken return to iTunes and restore your backup from earlier. Right click on your device name under the ‘Devices’ menu in the left panel of iTunes and click ‘Restore from Back Up…’ then select the latest backup you created before. (restoring this backup will return all the content previously on your device ie, apps, photos, etc.)


6. Thanks for using Absinthe, enjoy your jailbroken iDevice! , but there are many others you may also want to take a look at.

If I remember correctly, the Cydia app didn't appear until after I completed Step 5.
