I was able to cancel my 39.99 line with a webconnect 2.0 modem after filling a BBB complaint in Seattle b/c I was sold the line with the promise of a corporate discount, which they now say doesn't apply to a "discounted line".
So they are waiving the $200 cancellation fee, but I still have this modem. Is there any way to use this with my $5 web2go data packages on my cell phone lines. I think they block these data modem IMEIs on regular cell phone lines, but maybe somebody knows how to get them to work. Any other use for this equipment (Prepaid?) or should I just put it on ebay?
i wanted out of the contract also as the hspa+ speeds that are stated on there website are not there.
i also was supposed to get a corporate discount, the first 2 months they said it was going to applied to my account, the next 2 months after that they said it would be soon and finally after 8 months they are telling me i have the $39.99 plan and its already discounted and i cant get the corporate discount. i was told at the store that i could get the 15%.
DuggaD send me a PM and let me know the steps you took. thanks

The $39.99 plan was always originally supposed to be the discounted plan for existing customers and now it is.
There are no speed guarantees on the website, just theoretical peaks.
LTE has arrived. We are making continued coverage improvements and launching an advanced LTE network
I wouldn't pay 39.99; but the idea of a further "discount" somehow got me to try it. T-mobile needs to train staff not to make these promises and then rectify if there is a mistake. Having to go to BBB was ridiculous. Oh well, att/cingular will be much worse.
