Doubt it. Like any other employee benefit, once you quit, you probably lose the plan.
you tend to keep it for abit but once the audits are done...you lose it.

    350 Anytime minutes

    Additional Airtime: 10˘/minute

    Data Included
    Data / Tethered: 500MB (Data Overage: 3˘/MB)
    US Roaming: $3/MB

    Features:
    Conference Calling
    Call Waiting
    Caller ID
    Voicemail 25
Apple Visual Voicemail (iPhone device only)
National In-Network Calling (Telus to Telus)
Unlimited Nationwide Calling (unlimited Canadian long distance)
    Unlimited SMS / MMS
100 LD minutes (for Canada to USA, additional $0.20/min)

    Cost: $15/month
Even that is an improvement from when I was a rep (not going to say which dept though, and I couldn't be happier to be free of that place!).

    The Base Plan:
    Had to pay SAF $6.95
    350 mins anytime
    100LD Mins Canada
4MB Data (250 for DNA)...can't remember the overage rate, but still very easy go over if you didn't have a Blackberry basically
VM25, CID, TELUS 2 TELUS (Mobility, not landline)
    Unltd SMS/MMS

    Then (addons):
    $15 6pm Nights and Weekends
    $20 Unlimited LD Canada
    $7.50 VVM (voicemail to text)

Had to sign contract for 36 months for barely discounted phones (very small hardware discount...was better to pay full pop). Had to finish contract on consumer plan if you quit if you were under contract.

I know I was one of those reps who rocked another carriers device. Plus my text messaging didn't go down every single weekend.

yes we can keep our original telephone numbers. and yes it is nice that we finally have an employee pricing. It was a shame when we had to have out numbers through other carriers to get a better rate. It is absolutely impossible for someone to be on this plan that is not an employee as it is linked to our employee ids and are closely monitored,

Dealers also have this plan available now.
"well what's the point of knowing all this stuff about phones if you can't use it to impress girls at parties???"

So basically the rest of the employees were SOL on getting a really good plan prior to this new ambassador plan.
I used to work for Telus mobility head office and they provided everyone with MIKEs for free. They paid the bill. I took my phone to the USA and made calls, txted, etc. Made long distance calls in canada... never charged a dime.

I'd say $0 plan is better than this $15 plan.

Can you confirm this? I have yet to hear of dealers having any access to special plans.

If only we could all get it, that's one sweet deal. Heck, I'd pay even triple for that plan & it'd still be a good deal

And what is required to qualify as a "TELUS employee"? Can you work a shift at a store every weeks? I wonder...
    Clearnet/TELUS Customer since 2001:

Corporate store employees must work a minimum of 12.5 hours per week (casual employees aside but I don't think there are many of those).

Corporate stores employees apparently aren't eligible for this program because they get a line already.

Is a credit check required for employees to get this plan?

If you were an employee, I'm sure you'd know the answer...or your manager / HR can answer

    Invite only

Signing up for the plan requires an "invite" from your manager then you log into the employee portal and can sign up, visual voicemail is an extra $5 per month Nobody can tell me what the overage fees are on data but it is a sweet deal. Its just a shame that the discount on home service isn't as good for example we get 40% off home services (TelusTV or satellite, Internet and HomePhone.) If we have TV and Internet we also HAVE to take home phone which is actually more expensive for a phone with 1 calling feature than we pay for a cell phone per month with all the important calling features...

Don't know if it changed since, but when I got my contract switched over to this plan about a year ago I only had to send out an email. No need for an invite
