This is a known issue when exiting an app or when having a lot running in the background. Also if memory is getting full in phone. Try moving most of your pictures to memory card it will help but a new phone will not fix it.

Hi all,
We got this phone in August and in the last month have started having this problem on a daily basis. Very frustrating! VM said they would send a replacement phone and I would have to send mine back within 45 days. Do you think that it is a likely scenario that the same thing will happen again with the replacement? Has anyone else had this problem? Yes, I took the battery out for 15 seconds (haha the old VM standard fix it!)

Nope, a new phone will not fix it cause i'm on my 3rd phone and this one has the same problem!!!!! turn off/on randomly and every now and then freezes, it sucks!
I have had mine since September. I never had a problem with it until the past 2 weeks, and it will randomly turn off and on for no reason at all. I could be texting someone with all apps close and it will do it, or I'll be typing something on Opera Mini and it'll do it. It's frustrating. I'm probably gonna go back to my Mantra anyways. I miss T9. My fingers dont work well on little qwerty keyboards
My wife is in the same boat. Was originally my phone but i gave it to her when i got my intercept. We send it back to VM for a replacement and the new one is still doing it also. Doesnt seem to be any particular pattern as to why it does it. Ive seen it just sitting on the couch beside her and it will restart for no reason.
Well, they are going to send me a "refurbished" phone. I don't know whether I should bother with switching it over or not.
