Does anyone know of an app i can download so i can receive txt pictures for my unlocked 3g iphone? i have tried looking but cant find anything.Thank you
I am a little confused. My Verizon phone was able to roam on GSM because they used TDMA. Tell it was shutdown. The phone recognizes it as Analog. If PCS has TDMA, It could be technically be used on GSM.

If you're talking about an original (2G) iPhone, they don't support MMS, unless you jailbreak. The Messages app was called "Text" on those devices.
Edit: Nevermind! You said you had an iPhone 3G. In that case, if you have a "Text" app instead of the "Messages" app, you're still on the 2.x firmware. Update your phone to iOS 3.x or 4.x and you'll get the Messages app for MMS. You may also need to adjust APN and proxy settings for T-Mobile under Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network.
