Extra charging/data cable for Bell Vibrant (i9000m)?

I'd like to buy a second charging/data cable for my Bell Vibrant (i9000m) and Bell's price is too steep for me

Is the connector a standard micro-B USB port or is it proprietary?

It is a standard micro USB cable. I've ordered a few of these cables from eBay and they work fine. The connector is a bit flimsy(sp?) but they charge and do data as well as my cable that came with the phone.

I think you'll find the cable that came with your phone fits better than a standard micro-usb cable, but the standard micro-usb cable will work.
