Remove "Facebook for LG" from LG Optimus

I've already rooted the phone and removed a bunch of other bloat with titanium backup, but I can't find the LG facebook app in the list and it doesn't seem to sync apps correctly.
I tried `pm list packages` and looking in /system/app and I can't find it. There were a few things with lg in the name but they looked important and I didn't want to risk it on someone else's phone.

download android mate from the market place, then you can use it to give the properties of all apps which will reveal the exact location of that app

i already deleted it other wise i would just tell you, i do remember it having a weird name though

With help from another forum, the apps that can only be deleted through rooting are:

    • MVC.MetroPCS.android02.apk = Virtual Card
    • MobileBanking.apk = Mobile Banking
    • MobilePosse.apk = MyExtras
    • SNS.apk = Facebook for LG, Twitter for LG
    • Boingo_Wo-Fi.apk = Boingo WiFi
    • Mocospace-1.2.4.apk = Moco Space
    • Uno_Demo_LG_MS690.apk = Uno Game
    • PGA_Android.apk = Free Games
    • LGMS690_MetroPCS_EasyWiFi_V4.0.90.apk = Easy Wifi (I kept this. But the rest are SO gone.)
    • MPCS-MobileIM-0.4.24.2.apk = MobileIM
    • PEX-3.1.1.1-metro-rc.apk = Pocket Express
    • z7-android2x.apk= Mail@Metro

I kept Easy Wi-Fi as it seems useful.

When you delete Boingo it will give you a repeated pop-up error message. Just force the phone to power off, then boot back up and all is well.

Just me, but I also took off Loopt -- which I was able to uninstall the normal way. I have no need for people to know exactly where I am.

Your creed may be interesting, but your deeds are much more convincing.

Yep. I rooted with z4 and used titanium backup to remove all the preinstalled bloat.

Yeah, I uninstalled Loopt. I kept metro app store. Didn't seem to be doing any harm. Their one good app is the Metro Easy Wi-Fi (give you free access to over 500, 000 hotspots). But someday Metro may get another app worth downloading that did not come on the ph

    .
Just FYI: I took off the LG Facebook and LG Twitter apps because the official Android Market apps for Facebook and Twitter are better. No need to have both.
