hi everybody
does the video out work on any tv with the keitai?
i.e: sh-07b with hdmi out plugged into a tv that takes hdmi
and is it possible to get 3g to work on a sh-07b in the US?
-does it depend on the type of hypersim?
thanks!
for 3g to work on att, would mean testing every single att sim card and hope one works completely.
my friend says he has one working on 3g incoming, but he always used his sh-01a off and on, yet somehow it worked for him in cali
would that also work for tmobile in texas?
thanks guys for the quick response!
no it wont
ok cool thanks.
do you think that would change after the new unlocked phones come out?
is there any news on whether or not the new phones will have 3g access in US?
it doesnt really bother me that i cant have 3g but of course it would be great if i could get most of the features out of the phone, plus i heard it improves the battery life.
just trying to get my facts straight
and thank you again
^ I personally think the 3G has to do with the frequency bands that we have in North America.
Plus, from what I know of, if you want to use the 3G features like i-mode, it won't be possible, since it's still probably going to require that you're on the Docomo network.
Not 100% sure if my assumptions are correct, so might need some other people's clarification on this.
I miss using my SH-01B... D:
3g still works with calls on 850
^ Yea, I've tried 3G calling here. Outgoing works pretty much fine, but incoming seems to either work or not work depending on where I am.
AT&T uses 1900 and 850 3G from what I understand. I'm not sure if switching between bands has got to do with the 3G incoming not working sometimes. Telstra in Australia only runs on 850 3G and outgoing/incoming works so I'm not sure if band switching enables/disables the incoming 3G.
^ is that the same as t-mobiles 3g bands
and if it is then theoretically wouldnt 3g work under t-mo as well?
No, T-Mobile uses 1700MHz AWS. But AT&T owns T-Mobile now so things may change.
oh so it is official that att acquired t-mo?
yeah thats what i thought was happening i know it will be a very long time till it gets approve or at least reallly looked into. well i guess a benefit to the merge would be the 3g access, but know they have this 4g going on haha. i wonder if japan is going to be getting 4g soon.
