well for the G2 , did you have to add a data plan?

the last time i did a upgrade was 11 months ago through online where i didnt have to add a data plan.

my question was basically so in 11 months can i upgrade the phones online?

Or I need to get them now?

because my contract 2 year starts from today.

if I try to get them to give me a smart phone of sorts, will they require me to add the data plan?

    Thanks!

When I ordered the G2 via the Loyalty dept it did put the required data plan on my line, but I already had the Preferred Android for $20, so I just kept that. If you are talking about a line with T-Zones or Web2Go I would just due the upgrade online so it doesn't knock off your data pack... like you did previously. But then you're stuck paying the higher price for the device.

But I guess my concern is when can i do it online?

My contract was to expire March, 2012 ( I had done a phone upgrade on a 2 year renewal)

    Now it expires Jan, 2013.

When can I do the phone upgrade? Would it be based on my first date or now the new Jan 2013 date.

Alright I called them, they told me the contract extension should not effect phone upgrade options, they said I upgraded phones 9 months ago, i can get a partial discount after 3 months more, when it will be 12 months.

I did get them to add family allowance as well.

i don't see the $0 UMA feature yet, not sure how long it takes, they replaced it with the $9.99 one, but how do I check?

In web2go on my blackberry don't see it under my account yet.

I am able to check mine using home.web2go.com in the browser or by using the My Account app on Android.

It shows up as: HS @Home UL FTS Promo.

I do have a question for those with the Preferred FT 600 NW plan. When I use the Web2Go site to check my very detailed usage it shows that my main line of the family account receives 1000 Call Forward Conditional minutes and my sub accounts receive 500 Call Forward Conditional minutes.

Check some of my previous attached photos and you will see what I am talking about.

My question is whether this is supposed to be unlimited or is everyone else seeing the same thing? I use Google Voice for my voicemail and don't want to run in to overages for going over my call forwarding limit.

    Weird..

I don't even see anything about call forwarding on "My Account" app on the MyTouch 4g

Edit: Nevermind. I went through web2go and saw only 500 call forward mins on both of my lines.

The call forward min are only unlimited if you have an unlimited calling plan.

Everyone else gets 500 or so.

I know that they are unlimited IF it is going to another T-Mobile line (ex @Home line) or to one of your myfave numbers. If I am at home all day, I'll set my cell phone to forward to my house phone. It nevered took any minutes away from the call fowarding bucket.

I thought the way GV works was changed so it's more "dynamic" with its numbers so it can't be used as a myfave anymore...?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

GV was changed, but there are a few work arounds. One of them is to download a previous version of GV and another option is to get a 3rd party app that will work with GV.

Success for me as well (did it today)! Kept all my old add-ons ($9.99 txt, UMA, myFaves, $20 pref BB internet).

Thanks to coorey and ylopez2007 for the quick feedback on its availability...

You still can do GV from the web instead of using the app.

Are the "1200 Bonus Minutes" 1200 min per month, per line...or 1200 per line to use over the two years...(avg 50 min per month)?

Just completed 2 year family plan (3 line) contract and currently in the middle of negotiating new deal with Loyalty and would like to bring account up to (4) lines.

    Current plan - 3 lines:
    myFave FamTime MM 700 $79.99 (2 lines)
    myFave's all lines, N/W, M2M
    G1 Unlimited data +400sms $24.95
    Add a line $9.99
    -13% corp discount

Offered to me - 4 lines:
    1500 anytime min $79.99
    myFaves all lines $0
    Unlimited Family Text $9.99
    Pref Android Web $20x2
    Add a line $10x2
Want to keep my 13% corp discount (see any hurtles?)

1200 bonus minutes....if that's per month, per line would help close the deal.

Deal or no deal? Whataya think...

    Thanks!
