I am on AT&T, and just upgraded to 4.3, what do I need to do to set up the hotspot feature? Thanks for the help.

First you have to change your plan to "X"GB+tethering... then on yor phone you go to settings>general>network>set up personal hotspot...

Personal Hotspot work great on 6 gigs data plan. One thing, my name is Yannick and my WIFI name on my laptop is "iphone de YannickÂ"

Why Â??? Can I remove this Â?

crap!.. you have to PAY for personal hotspot?!?!..... I guess I'll be using my wife's MyTouch 4G to surf from

Her phone is faster, has a bigger screen, a replaceable battery, 4G, AND has free wireless tethering with unlimited internet?.... please remind me why I have the iPhone4.... other than that I've already spent my money on apps and music that can't be used anywhere else, ad that I've upgraded since iPhone 1>3Gs>4

BTW... I have unlimited internet grandfathered in from day one... so much for this big update... meh

The SSID of the Wi-Fi access point is the same as the name you assigned to your iPhone. You can change it in iTunes.

Thank I will try via iTunes. Maybe it's a problem french---->english convertion... But it is working great, no problem.

Review of iOS 4.3 GM Build and Public Releases

Lots of choppiness...

Boot up - load time when the screen appears, the nice spotlight effect on "slide to unlock" doesn't kick in right away anymore, it pauses for 1/4 a sec

Slide to unlock - 'sometimes" it takes two tries for me; on attempts that fail, I've notice the slide bar goes 2/10 of the way and bounces back to the start.

Starting Apps : OEM and 3rd Party - OEM "sometimes" the choppiness is seen here; not as smooth as before, when the app maximized to full screen. 3rd Party apps - Splash screen suddenly appears sometimes and then the apps starts. Examples: Facebook and Beejive

Closing the Apps to multitasking dock : OEM and 3rd Party - OEM "sometimes' the choppiness is seen here; not as smooth as before, when the app is closing to the multitask dock. 3rd Party apps - same performance as OEM

*Test the starting and closing apps with the Multitasking dock totally cleared*

(I've noticed all these performance issues since the GM build last Friday and I was hoping it was the public release would be ironed out. I guess with all the new functions added, there are new responsibilities of performance the IP4 must do.)

Edit: Just did a restore from public iOS 4.3 to public iOS 4.3, everything seems better ... Knock on wood. Let's see what happen after a week usage.

I'm having major problems with data after the update. I'm with Rogers and I'm getting no data over 3G. Hopefully they clear this up by the morning? The funny thing is that when the update first finished I got the hotspot feature. I tried to connect my iPad, that didn't work then it just went away and hasn't come back. I did a reset all network settings. Still nothing. Anyone still having this issue?

Tested on both my IP4 units, everything is fine over here.

Where are you located? I know the DT Core is very sketchy in Toronto recently.

(Where's the group SMS function? Wasn't in the GM build nor the public ver either!)

I still have the Group Messaging option after updating to 4.3. It depends on your carrier whether the feature is available or not.

Safari is noticeably faster on sites that rely heavily on Javascript.

But I'm not feeling the new Noteworthy font. I switched to Marker Felt instead. I don't get why they had to remove the Chalkboard font, they could have just added Noteworthy and left the other fonts alone, no?
