    Help with i576!

    Howdy,

Recently joined Boost, but have a problem. I bought an i576 and a Boost sim card. Everything activated almost perfectly, but I can't make calls. I can receive calls, send/receive text messages, get on the internet, etc, just can't make calls.

I called Boost, but the dude on the phone said that since it's a Nextel phone with a Boost sim card, they can't guarentee that it will work, and that most people who use Nextel brand phones on the Boost network run into problems.

Anyone have any ideas what I can do to get it to work?

    Thanks!

all nextel phones require a master reset. when you do this everything should work. the master reset code is 000000. enter this when prompt. if this doesnt work keep callin boost until you get a different rep. Some reps give different info

    Problem solved!

When I signed up for Boost, I got a new area code, one that is different than the one I'm used to. When I tried to make calls, I wasn't using the area code. Now that I'm using the area code, it works just fine!

The master reset solved this problem. Without tht this phone wouldn't haved worked. All previously activated iden phones require master reset. This solved your problem!
