so from a 3.4" to a 3.3 and 12MP to 8? I do hope they keep the design.
I hope they keep everything else....
The way I see it is, we will have software unlocked 003SH and 005SH and SH01B's after this comes out!
I guess thats the really good news....
I guess a price of a SH-01B will be skyrocketing soon. I'm somewhat disappointed by the downgrade in specs though.
camera downgraded to 8 mp cmos was pretty disappointing, but at least they kept the looks, and LED lights + the new Andriod 2.2 system. Screen was downgraded from 3.4 inch to 3.3 inch.. not too big of a deal there. SH7218U support GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900) /WCDMA(900, 2100), so no hypersim required, WIFI/WAPI are also supported, which means people can use their WLAN, bluetooth, GPS without any restrictions. Display definition is 480x854. The battry uses 960 mAh, this pretty means the phone need to be charged every day under normal use. People are saying this phone is going to cost around $4500 RMB, which is about $690CDN.
What is the standard of life in China? Isn't $680 US a lot of money there? I mean, compared to the average monthly salary. Of course $680 would be just fine in the USA or Canada, or anywhere in Western Europe (in Bulgaria this is two-two and a half monthly salaries).
What I mean by this is - isn't this price unaffordable for even the sort-of-well-off Chinese person?
