Droid X not vibrating when recieving a text message!! need help

My X is not vibrating when i get an incoming text message. It vibrates if i recieve an incoming call, turn volume all the way down to vibrate, and the touch responsiveness vibrates. I have checked all the settings. Setting on home screen and setting in the text messages. I have them all set to vibrate and still nothing.. The phone used to vibrate with the text message and now all of a sudden it des not. I tried turning the phone off and back on. I also tried removing the battery. Still nothing. Please help

Do you have Sound Manager installed? The vibrate settings there can conflict with the main system settings.

I have the same problem. I called verizon tech support and they tried helping me fix it but they said that I should bring it in to the local verizon store that I bought the phone from and see if they can figure it out.

If anyone has any ideas let me know ASAP!!!!

go into your text messages, to the screen where it is a large scroll box of all your conversations.
tap the options soft key (next to the home soft key),
go to message settings.
scroll down to notification settings.
tap "vibrate" and check the option to "also vibrate when notified"
