This is the way how I see it as, Samsung would not have a press event unless the device was significant enough to have it's own event. I keep reading on multiple forums that BM employees are being trained for the Samsung Transform and another mystery Samsung "Galaxy" android device. I have a pretty damn good feeling it will be the Galaxy Ace.

This is true but they have made different radio variants all of their recent Galaxy phones of which they showed at CES2011/MWC2011.

I'm talking about the NEW phones that they came out with.

Heres an example: Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Pro, Galaxy Ace (all new devices - they were shown originally as gsm devices and now trickling around the web with cdma radios. )

The Galaxy fit just got re-announced as the Galaxy Pop in India with a cdma radio with frequencies that operate under Sprint. (800 mhz)

Sprint is 1900MHz CDMA only, so the "POP" won't work for Sprint, Boost, or Virgin.

The Indulge is already a CDMA phone, on MetroPCS with LTE... and the new version for Cricket will not have LTE, but is basically the same phone.

Not really sure what you have proven, or tried to prove.

One thing I have noticed with all these low and mid range Android is the majority of them seem to leave out the LED Flash component to the cameras Strange. Its like they expect everyone to only use them in perfect lighting conditions. Of course cell phone cameras aren't good for much more then a basic snapshot but still even for that you're likely to need the flash more times then not. It cant cost that much more to add an LED in either. Even the low end BBs have had a flash for quite some time now.

Hopefully a Boost Android will have one but its looking more and more likely it wont

Anyways it just seems like a step back to me.

    ^ Speeds under perfect tower(average is 300-800k).

Boost should bring some new stuff soon. Some CDMA android offerings would be great, unless they just want to keep them over at VM only...

Well it seems pretty likely Extraordinary with the recent postings of a Samsung/Boost Mobile event sent out to Android sites for April 5th. Could be the upcoming Samsung Prevail this month. We should know then if it truly is.

What will be interesting is at what prices will they offer it or plans.

It could very well be limited to a $60 unlimited plan but I hope not! At that price I'm not so sure it would be worth it to me to stay with Boost since I'm a low voice user and the fact Sprints 3G data averages 300-900k on most towers in this region with a few 1mbps-1.5mpbs towers scattered around regardless of device. There also seems to be a lot of 3G dead zones around which is strange considering the flat terrain.

Of course a surprise could happen and the Boost Android winds up having 4G WiMax access
However WiMax has its own limitations with a smaller footprint locally and a likely lower range due to the frequency meaning more dead zones.

bah who needs WiMax or 4G anyways for a cell phone

Just upgrade EVDO to REV B and improve the backhaul. Even in the worst case a 3-5mpbs average speed would probably be more then enough bandwidth for most users like myself. Its not like you need to stream HD movies on a device with a small screen

I'm waiting to see what happens first

*edit of course there's shrinkage takes 18 months to get down to $45 though lol

I don't see Boost customers having WiMax access included in a $50 or $60 unlimited plan.

    Just me though.

Virgin CDSVMRUMOR2, Boost BM-I1 and BM-SCP3810 are going end of life as of next week.

I1 is discontinued so we can now garuntee a new android but sill no specs.
They already emailed that the prevail is the new samsung so i dont understand why people keep guessin all kind of other phones. Unless there gonna be more than one android(lets be serious here that aint gonna never happen.)i guess this thread will be closed in the next two weeks.
