Does Net 10 have the same coverage as Straight talk for their GSM phones? I'm looking at getting Straight talk but I only have a AT&T partner tower in my area as the AT&T native coverage is 0 to 1 bar at best. The problem is I don't want to pay for a service plan for the month and the Walmart near me only stocks Net10 phones.
Yes. Net10 phones do have GSM and CDMA capabilities. If your area only has GSM towers, then make sure that the phone that you get has a G at the end of it. This means that your phone will work for GSM towers. Another option would be to buy the cellphones online.

Thanks!
Net10 has many roaming partners that ST does not have. ST GSM is AT&T and T-Mobile, and no one else.
Consider a ST CDMA phone if Verizon has good coverage in your area? ST Verizon does not roam.

What was the conclusion you came to? Im on the phone with Net10 and I cant get that answer from tech. I would think the GSM phone would get the same signal on both carriers, but I would like a definitive answer.
Most people get better coverage with AT&T service, especially when traveling. Some people are satisfied with T-Mobile. Most, but not all, people feel Verizon on average gives the most complete coverage. Sprint is satisfactory for only a few.
ST & NT CDMA Androids run on Sprint - NO roaming
ST Verizon - NO roaming
NT Verizon - does roam
ST & NT GSM - does roam.
