Exclamation Motorola Droid X on Straight Talk?

Is there any way to use the Motorola Droid X on Straight Talk, like unlocking the phone, just how they did with the iphone on Straight Talk?

Like changing the MIN number to the Straight Talk's number? Since they are on Verizon's towers, I don't see why not...

I currently am on Page Plus but the limited data plan is killing me, this phone is pointless without data and every you go most of wifi's are password locked..

Nope wont happen. The only cdma phones that can be used on straighttalk are the branded straighttalk phones. Straighttalk keeps a database of allowed esn's so its a no go on activating regular Verizon phones. There are illegal ways of making it work but we dont discuss them here.

I'm going to skirt right on the edge of forum rules, and give you a few search terms that may help you find the information you want.

    QPST
    ESN repair
    Diagnostic mode

And, here's the warning that not only is such discussion verboten on this forum, but actually *doing* it is illegal in the United States.

    Good luck in your search.

Understand that the Droid will use a lot of data comapred to all other ST Verizon phones. Verizon will not allow ST to put any Smartphones on their network. So you will have ST and Verizon looking for excessive useage and yours will really jump out at them.

Tampering with a handset's electronic serial number is a federal offense and discussion of such will not be tolerated here at HoFo.

Repeated violation of this rule can and will result in ban.
