LG Ally Speed Help

Before when i first got the update the phone ran alot faster, now the speed is about the way it was before the update. Is it because of the amount of apps i downloaded? Because the memory for apps is close to the full point. Any Suggestions??

Have you tried a reboot?

Reboot as in turning off and on. Then yes I did but idk if I should do anything else.

I saw where someone else was having this issue. I'll try to find it but I believe they solved it with a master reset.

Now i had a question regarding this which would be someone said to root my phone to make it go faster and have more space for apps is NOT a good idea? Why is this? Because i am tired of this thing running slow on me and would like to uninstall the stock apps on it to have room for others. Anyone help?
