Rooting and UN-Rooting

Ok, Ive been hitting the fourms, reddit and googling. I have downloaded unrevoked and I am ready to go. My question is how do I un-root it if I have to send it in for work? Because if I root my phone I know what is going to happen. Something is going to happen to my phone and I'll have to send it in for repairs. I've found tons of info on the uk htc desire and a ton of ruu's but not for the uscc ruu. If I cant un-root it I'm not going to root. Which sucks because I want gingerbread!

Do a nandroid backup of your stock ROM before flashing. Restore said backup if you need to ship for warranty. Perform S-on (its on the unrevoked site --read the FAQ). This will still leave you with a non-stock recovery image. Not sure if you can restore the original or not.

You're right there is no RUU for USCC yet. Should be once FroYo is released.
