Torch 4G Fraud attempts have begun...it's funny how they come in and and say that they want as many lines as they can get approved for and right away asking for the Torch lol.

I am a rep at a corporate store.
I don't get paid that much but that's really not the point.
What I aim to do is make sure that you don't buy from me because I do get commission and chargebacks mean that I wasted my time with someone; working for free is not what I do.
I also want to make sure that you don't buy from me because I don't want you to get paid.
Now, offer me a kickback next time you come in to scam the company out of some of their money.
Make it worth my while, don't think we're dumb.
Of course we have good phones, otherwise you wouldn't be here trying to get them.
Rest assured, nobody wants the Torch unless they are willing to ruin their credit for a couple of bucks.
They won't be able to get service with a major provider unless they go prepay once their credit is pooh.
Funniest thing is watching some 19yr kid with his pants hanging off his butt saying "yeah, I want fo' Torches", "and please don't tell my momma".
Same problem with bb torch fraud here in INK market. I was told by a customer that people were getting them and selling them in Jamaica. They are hot items in Jamaica and very expensive there.
The phones these people are stealing are going to Asia. Hong Kong in particular. They probably go for a pretty good price there.
As required by the FTC I am declaring that I am an employee of at&t Mobility and anything I say is my own opinion and in no way expresses the opinion of at&t Mobility
I own a set of authorized retail stores. Gamers kill authorized stores. Us, BestBuy, WalMart, etc, all are out the $$$ taken by gamers.
How?
Say for instance you buy an sII. We "lose" $11 on an upgrade or new actt or cross upgrade if we can't attach any data or features. So, if the Salesperson sells the phone, and then inside the 6 month cancellation/chargeback window the gamer gets service disconnected, I get charged back, and pass that to the sales person. Turnover in the wireless industry is pretty constant, so I might not have the seller to even charge it back to by the time it is all said and done.
So, yes, it does cost real people real money. However, I'd rather lose $11 than to have people outright steal. We have a ton of theft in the cellular business in handsets and accessories.
This happens constantly in SoCal as well. Certain types of people coming in "pre-approved by AT&T for 5 lines" wanting all Torches. We say no, arguments ensue.
Equipment gaming is easy to spot. These people aren't nearly as sneaky as they think.
John Blanton is a known fraudster in north ga. He has tried to get multiple torches using fraudulent business info at 2 or three locations In north ga multiple times. Be on the lookout.
Gamerpro - dude, you working the system, hosing these carriers out of money - whatever, you found a flaw and your working it like a two bit hooker in vegas during a computer convention - make hay while the sun shines
As for screwing over these breathing bodies of people of whom you use their social - hey, they were dumb enough to take the bait in the first place...... right ?
Now this is where the sales rep comes in...... you purposely come in my store to take money out of my pathetic paycheck and screw me over.......... nah, homey don't play that. I get a kick out of the crackheads you guys send in who smell like they just crapped their pants and cannot even start / finish a complete sentence. But hey, this is what you do to make a buck. And your justification is that the companies write this stuff off and whatever. But screwing over the guy on the frontline who is just trying to earn his way - that's messed up man.
I bet you were never breast fed as a child. That or you were never hugged as a baby. Have you ever heard of the word karma...... You know, what comes around goes around ? I would love to have you come in my store. Better yet, pm me back, I will tell you where I am, and you can roll in with your best " gamers "
This way we can have some fun at both of our expenses
Just remember this when the door slams behind you........... night night, keep your butthole tight
