@ Shari Goins: finding and changing the i4's APN info is a tricky thing. I believe you have to get your i4 jailbroken and then download a program from Cydia called TetherMe (you can get it for free ;-)). Then go to Settings --> General --> Network --> Cellular Data Network (TetherMe program makes this available) --> enter the WAP settings :-)
I hope this helps. I have an iPhone4S (had a i4) on Straight Talk and had to change the APN Settings to get MMS.
I played with 'the big boys'. I hated them. Just because a company is big does not give them the right to over charge. I bought an iphone 4 from ebay for 200$. I called page plus & they gave me a new phone number & flashed my phone OTA earlier this month. They sent me these WAP settings. I can't find APN information. I plan on updating these settings in my plist using the ifilecracked app from sinfuliphonerepo. The smaller cell companies are always cheaper.
what isn't working? in most instances, the OTA programming will have your iphone ready to go for talk / text / mms / web / app connectivity / everything. This is true even if it is a brand new phone (never activated on Verizon) or a previously used one, in my experience.

There have been multiple reports on HoFo of people using iPhones on PPC with all features working without jail breaking. I don't know if there would ever be some situation that would cause it to be different, but there are unmodified iPhones reported working 100% on PPC.
My iphone4 is jailbroken. I downloaded the TetherMe APN editing which did enable me access to the 'cellular data' part of the settings. There's no spot to change the WAP though, only APN. I don't have the APN info. I looked in the plist but couldn't find where the WAP settings were. I have been unable to get MMS or connect to mobile data/3G. Any sugestions?
The loading of and/or changing the APN normally pertains to an iPhone on Straight Talk. Normally, a Verizon iPhone is programmed with the correct settings by doing a *228 option 1 OTA. Whether the phone is jailbroken is irrelevant when it comes the OTA programming.
Go to Settings, General, About. What do you see for Carrier? It should say Verizon 11.2. If you tap Carrier it will display ERI and PRL. You can get the Carrier Settings Update by connecting to iTunes. I believe you can update the Carrier Settings by tapping on Carrier as well. Not entirely sure, however,
It says my carrier is 'not available'. I'm not on Verizon I'm on pageplus w/PRL 52633
I understand that you're with Page Plus but the carrier is Verizon because that's the network you're using. I would suggest you restore the phone to factory settings, program the phone via *228 option 1, then jailbreak it after verifying that everything is going properly.
I'm guessing that your jailbroken phone is preventing the proper programming.
i been using the iphone 4 on pageplus for every since early may 2011. problem i always have is i'm able to receive mms( picture messages) on my iphone but i cannot send them. they end up with the sending meter going on the wall right than stopping and give me a fail report.
Is anyone else having this issue to and does anyone have solution?

i've actually never tried now that you mention it -- just by chance, every MMS i've sent so far has been to others on iphones via imessage on wifi -- i'll give it a try soon and report back.
any luck on activating new iphone 4s? any1 got their iphone deactivated?
i think they may be getting harder to activate over the phone. i know first hand some reps are turning down activations. they can now see the models from the MEID given (it tells them the phone model and the GB of storage -- i.e. 32GB iPhone) so YMMV on that avenue.
After much research I have discovered several important facts.
1.) It would seem that WAP is a completely different programing/computer language than APN. WAP is/was a way to access websites on cell phones that don't support/read actual HTML. Basically, it's a watered down internet. I think it's similar to the "internet" on phones like the original motorola razor etc from early 2000's. My impression is that it is in the process of becoming obsolete.
2.) Iphone's support actual html. Since they can have actual internet the iphone does not support the WAP language because apple figured they didn't need to. Iphone not supporting WAP was confirmed by a CSR @ Apple. Page Plus doesn't have APN settings because they have WAP & basically haven't upgraded. I'm pretty sure that since they are different languages WAP can't be translated to APN; i.e. you can't take the WAP & infer what the APN is (I've tried). So my phone having no WAP settings has nothing to do with being jailbroken etc.
A couple of workarounds: Theres an app called WAPZilla that is a WAP internet browser. I also heard of a WAP SMS app called Swirly SMS. It seems that swirly SMS has been taken off the market, however. I tired putting the Verizon APN on my phone to no avail. I did find out that if I turned on 'data roaming' I'm able to get internet. (head thump) Unable to get MMS yet though, but I don't really use it.
As far as questions about Page Plus service. they activated me over the phone in the beginning of January, after the ban started. I guess I lucked out. Since the ban was put in place, they basically refuse to help me with anything technical. If I call to buy minutes they'll probably take my $ but anything else they say that they can't help with unauthorized handsets. It's ok b/c I know how to handle most things myself. They have not de-activated me yet, though I do seem to alarm the help desk when I call.
I activated my verizon iphone 4 on page plus this morning and I can confirm that everything works, including MMS and the internet. My phone is not jailbroken and I did not have to change any settings whatsoever. When i called page plus customer service they told me they would not be able to activate it.

When I activate mine I just called and gave them the meid number and dialed *22890. Everything works perfect. Activated 3 iphones. The only thing they told me is that if I have technical problems with the iphone they can't help me!
