Yeah, I said screw it. Order placed as of this timestamp. The rep gave me my New Every 2 early. D3 for $149, data locked in, delivery by 3-ish Friday. And vzw hasn't even announced yet.

Lucky, I paid $199 for it and I took the extra shipping to get it by 10:30 instead of the 3 PM option.

I'll have it to play with this weekend, that's all that matters to me. I did have to pay like $8 to get it Friday. Free would have been Monday.

Agree ravenlore. Having for the weekend is the big deal. My new every two was actually today. Talk about perfect timing.

Yeah, I'm glad to have mine by the weekend too. My options were $8 by 3 PM Friday or $14 by 10:30.

They're still telling me no, that it's not available until tomorrow. Is there some trick I can have them try?

I called customer service (611) and said I'd like to upgrade, they said to what phone, I said the Droid 3. They said they'd put me on hold while they asked their manager if they can place orders for these yet. They came back and said it was okay and so it processed.

And they said I'm sure you're glad to know that you'll be one of the first to be getting this phone.

I'm still gonna check verizon's website tonight when it hits 12 on the east coast to see if their website changes and has the Droid 3 offered or if they wait until the early morning tomorrow to add it.

You all are lucky, I've called three times so far, and have received a couldn't do it yet. One lady said she could tomorrow, the others couldn't until the 14th.

Ordered mine! However, sadly I'm a second line so not eligible for NE2 pricing. Plus it turns out CA's tax is ridic (just moved from GA) - had to pay $39.10 on a $199.99 phone!! Should come by Saturday, although I'm surprised the free shipping works on Saturdays.

EDIT: Also, should mention that they brought my upgrade date forward by two dates. Thanks, VZW.

You pay tax on retail of the phone.
