as my plan B, should I switch to mobi or wind?

I live in Vancouver and both companies are new, Mobi's plans are better (well, I actually haven't checked in a while, but when I last did, Mobi's were a little better). I also hear Mobi has a better overall service.

I live in south east side of Vancouver, and will be going to SFU soon, so I need a phone that will work at both places. I will also maybe moving to coquitlam soon, how is Mobi's service there?

Nobody can tell you for sure how the service is in the areas you frequent. Go to a mobi store - take a loaner phone for 2 days and see for yourself. If you like it, sign up for mobi!!

P.S. I cant say anything about wind since I never tried them. However the wind forum is usually full of voice and data quality complaints. Mobi forum is full of complaints related to coverage :P

I can't specifically answer your question about SFU, but you should try to get a loaner phone to test out the service in the places you spend the most time. Pretty sure you can get Wind and Mobilicity to give you a loaner phone if you leave a deposit.

    http://www.coveragemapper.com/map.ph...m=12&netType=0 WIND

    and

unfortunately neither has official coverage of SFU. looks like wind has a few leaks of signal onto the campus though.

From what my friend has told me (he's currently going to SFU), Mobi has zero coverage on campus right now. He's made a few phone calls regarding the issue and they've told him several times that there should be something happening within the next month. Needless to say he's extremely annoyed with not having signal on campus, but considering Wind doesn't have coverage up there either (given their 6 months head start ahead of Mobi) means that SFU is either 1) extremely tough to get towers up in the area due to whatever reason or 2) SFU is just not a priority for either company.

So I guess if you're going to SFU, then you're out of luck right this moment.
