What did you edit to enable internet? If you tell me you edited the PRI file found in the filesystem I'm gonna claim ******** sorry but I am. Here is my reason. While the phone has no comport yet. The only files that seem to contain any information about the phones NV are found int the carrier bundle 310VZW. These files are signed to commcenter. Meaning if you modify them commcenter will reject the carrier bundle I know this as fact. Until the commcenter is patched that method won't work.

As far as loading PRL backdoor I'm sure it was just OTAd successfully.

well talk and text is definitely already done-some claim web but not sure but definitely talk and text- of course theres no tutorial yet but a few people say they will post it soon , i love to have just talk and text i could give 2 shi$# about web and mms all i use is wifi

1. *22804.....say "Roaming List" at the prompt.

2. add ESN to the Metro database in your usuall fashion (if you don't have a usual fashion search the forums, there are people who will do it for you...at a nominal fee I'm sure)

3. *228.....now say "change my phone" when prompted.....follow along with the prompts.....DONE

Not even patching commcenter is enough. I've done that myself, and edited pri file, still nothing. All I've managed to visibly change is the banner on top, that's it. Gotta find another way.

Then you didnt patch commcenter correctly, because as of right now i can change, mdn, min, sid, spc and other things. Were still trying to figure out data.

1) Download i-Funbox www dot i-funbox.com
2) Connect your iPhone 4 to the Windows PC and the modem drivers will load up
3) Open up i-Funbox and then check to see whether your iPhone is connected.
4) Scroll down to and then open up the directory called: private/var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundle.bundle

5) Erase the Verizon prl.
6) Cut and paste or load up the Cricket/MetroPCS prl you want to use by using Actions then Copy from PC tab on i-Funbox.
7) Close up and restart the iPhone
8) Activate using *228 or *22804 to get working talk and text? Of course you need to have the Iphone ESN added to metropcs inventory. I just did my first one today

Edmundo528- Just a question if I wanted to do this to an iphone for Cricket, would I have to do the ESN swap through Cricket first? and then the *228 or just skip the ESN swap and go straight into the *228, I am looking to buy and iphone 4 right now to use with Cricket I appreciate your help.

I'm not too sure with cricket. But I would do the esn swap first to be on the safe side. When I did mine for metro. I first had the ESN put into Metropcs inventory. Then I just did the *228 and picked the option for changing phone.

I dont know why I here but I just wanted to bring this to all y'all intentions...if y'all trying to edit apn on a iPhone 4, i don't k ow if this would work but...when I use to be on tmobile and had a iPhone 3GS...in order for me to edit and have the options for editing iPhone apn's...there was a "tmobile mms & YouTube fix" in cydia where once install on device it enabled options to edit apn in settings...!

Lmk if this worked for anyone....if anything STRAIGHT TALK $45 UNLIMITED everything woo woo haha
