It MAY be possible. One way to find out. Do it. Another way is to call Verizon prepaid customer care and just ask is the Tbolt a supported phone.
My guess is that they are going to keep 4G stuff off of the prepaid network until they build out LTE and it has paid for itself through postpaid plans.
The Tbolt is their first 4G phone so it holds a special place in Verizon phonedom like the ViPhone .
I don't expect it will be available on prepaid. Maybe on month to month though. If they allow ViPhone on M2M, makes sense they'd allow the Tbolt.
The Tbolt is hot right now but there'll be an avalanche of 4G Droids this year throwing their 4G weapons at the 3G iphone . At least till Apple adds LTE.
There is a belief that the ViPhone, now banned on at least one major prepaid Verizon mvno may be allowed on others within 3 months. Maybe you could try and activate the Tbolt on one of those (Siri Wireless ).
I purchased a thunderbolt from Craigslist and activated it on Verizon Prepaid with no problems. I am getting 4G speeds and it looks like everything is working fine. Also, my number ported to Verizon in less than 2 hours!
Okay, we've got one claim. Any others out there in LTE country with a Tbolt on Verizon prepaid? If so, Vz pp is the only option for Vz LTE phones as Page Plus does not allow them (and I'm assuming neither do the other Verizon mvnos).

add another 20 if you want unlimited texts. i never understood why verizon doesnt give you a deal if you get the talk and text plan. they just add the 20 on top of the talk plan price. it would make it more attractive if they gave you a deal if you want the talk and text plan they only charge 10 dollars extra for texting. like the 450 talk and text would be 55 instead of 65.
Yeah, just to be clear what plan I'm on... if you go to this link you'll see the 450 talk+text. The data pak is REQUIRED for all smartphone monthly plans. I'm paying $about $95 a month for the service.
$95 a month? Ouch. Verizon never did love its prepaid users...$5 more then postpaid, blah blah. Yeah, but don't you get "FREE" phones in postpaid?
Well, at least it's possible. No point in having a 4G/LTE Verizon service if your phone can't get it.
Page Plus and all of the other Mvznos with byod don't offer it apparently.
joshphx84, could you please tell me how you have registered thunderbolt with prepaid? The Verizon prepaid web site does not recognize the phone's MEI.
Thanks.
