Tried to activate one on prepaid today(after the rep on chat told me that it would be np) - the guy at verizon tried for like an hour to get it working, no dice. so how did you manage it?
too bad the verizon sales rep on the online chat told me that thunderbolt on prepaid was cool as well. well, for anyone reading, prepaid on thunderbolt is a myth for now, verizon will not let 4g phones onto the prepaid network

No 4G/LTE smartphones are allowed on Verizon prepaid yet. Neither is the iphone cdma, both versions. Page Plus is rumored to have people using 4g devices in 3g mode. No definite confirmation thus far.
As their lte network matures they will prob start adding 4g phones into the mix. Also 4g phones are so new they still want them to have a decent shelf life and 4g seems like a fairly big draw right now for data and contracts with many wanting higher speeds including me.
I do wonder if the fact that so many droids are coming out will that speed up the 4g prepaid offerings? Maybe a model that doesn't sell well will be put on 4g sooner?
Even with the $5 added cost, that's less than tax on an individual line in most states. Also you can still get unlimited 3G data on prepaid. Unlimited on postpaid could cost you unlimited $.
